PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic containing plant of Nymphaeaceae family or its extracted liquid, effective in keeping the gloss of hair and preventing the lowering of the smoothness in combing and having excellent conditioning effect. CONSTITUTION:A plant of Nymphaeaceae family, e.g. rhizome of Nuphar japonicum, Nuphar pumilum, Nelumbo nucifera, etc., root or whole grass, etc., of Brasenia Schreberi or its extracted liquid is used as a component of a hair cosmetic at an amount of 0.001-10wt%, preferably 0.01-1% in the case of powder and 0.0001-1% (in terms of dried residue), preferably 0.01-0.1% in the case of extracted liquid. |
