The invention relates to a device for compensating for rotational impulses. In this device serving to compensate for rotational impulses of an internal combustion engine, and including two inertial masses 3, 4 capable of revolving with respect to each other counter to the action of a damping device 13 and one 3 of which is connected to the crankshaft 5 of the engine and the other 4 of which is connected to a shaft 10 of the gearbox, provision is further made for the two masses 3, 4 to be connected by (sliding) friction devices transmitting the rotational torque, acting successively (as a function of the rotation angle). Application particularly to systems for regulating the rotational torque of an internal combustion engine. <IMAGE>
