<p>The cyclone separator comprises a central tangential feed inlet (22) at an enlarged intermediate portion (7) located between two opposed separating chambers (11, 12, 14, 16), having underflow outlets (32, 33) for discharging the more dense component of a mixture of fluids at opposite ends (6, 8) of the separating chambers (11, 12, 14, 16) and a single overflow outlet (35) located in the intermediate portion (7) for discharging the less dense component. Alternatively, two overflow outlets may be provided (40, 41) coaxially within the underflow outlets (32, 33).</p> |
