The invention relates to the Patent Application P 3721738.0 and has the object of reducing or avoiding lateral movements of the roofing as a result of wind coming from different directions. In this arrangement, in particular the fastenings of the carrying ropes of the roofing are not to be overloaded by vibrations. This object is achieved in that, in accordance with Fig. 1 which shows the plan view of a roofing, stabilising cables 2 are fastened in an articulated manner in each case at the ends of the rails 1 which move to the centre of the roofing, said fastening being effected, for example, by means of eyelets 3 fitted on said cables and bolts inserted in the rails 1. The stabilising cables 2 cross over the roofing halves diagonally, intersecting approximately in the centre, said cables being guided, at the opposite corners of the roofing, vertically downwards via pulleys 5 and being wound up on a drum by means of gear mechanisms 6. The pulleys 5 can rotate in bearings and, by means of the same, are pivotably arranged on the housings of the gear mechanisms 6 via journals which are perpendicular to the axes of the pulleys and are located on the bearings. Consequently, the pulleys 5 follow the movements of the stabilising cables 2 on the movement of the rails 1 back and forth in order to open or close the roofing. In the extended state, as shown in Figure 1, the stabilising cables 2 are taut and fix the roofing with respect to lateral movements in the direction of the arrows. <IMAGE>
