PURPOSE:To speed up a write operation by writing-in a transmitted data in a magnetic memory device at the idle time of a magnetic storage controller, after the data is written in a cache memory. CONSTITUTION:In the write operation, the data sent from the channel device 3 of an upper position is set in a channel write data register 46W and a cache write data register 48W, and is sent to a cache memory 6, and is set in a cache memory write data register 63W, and is written in a semiconductor memory 61 according to the address of a cache memory address register 62. The data, retained in the memory 6, is read-out from the memory 61 to a cache memory read data register 63R, when a magnetic disk controller 4 is in an address state. Then, the data is written in a media 53 through a cache read register 48R, a disk write data register 47W, a serializer/deserializer 51 and an OR gate 54. |
