PURPOSE:To perform printing within a current supply time imparting the optimum impact force, by setting the current supply time due to a current supply circuit to plural kinds of different times on the basis of the current supply time variable signal from a host computer based on the operation of a current supply time setting means. CONSTITUTION:CPU 13 opens only either one of gate circuits G1-Gn according to an escape command signal by operating the keyboard 18 of a host computer 10. Therefore, when a current supply time circuit 17 receives an operation order signal from CPU 13, the data of current supply times set to respectively different times are outputted to a dot head driver 15 according to the selected one of the gate circuits G1-Gn. The dot head driver 15 combines the printing data from CPU 13 and the current supply time data from the current supply time circuit 17 to output only the printing data corresponding to the current supply time data to a dot head 14. By this method, the necessary needle of the dot head 14 performs the impact operation corresponding to the current supply time data to apply printing to paper. |
