PURPOSE:To obtain an antifogging compsn. having good storage stability and capable of imparting an antifogging property to the surface of a synthetic resin molded article for a long period, by using a specific (hydroxy) alkoxycellulose, a colloid-forming inorganic oxide and water as main components. CONSTITUTION:The objective antifogging agent compsn. capable of being produced in a high concentration contains as main components (A) 0.05-15pts.wt. of a (hydroxy)alkoxycellulose having a viscosity of <=1,000cps as 2% aq. solution and containing >=2C of the alkoxy group, (B) 1-40pts.wt. of a colloid-forming inorganic oxide (preferably silica or alumina) and (C) the remaining pts. (totally 100pts.wt.) of water.
