PURPOSE:To obtain an antiserotonin agent, containing a cyclohexane derivative as an active ingredient, having serotonin antagonistic action as well as low toxicity and useful for treating depression, schizophrenia, hemicrania, hypertension, peripheral cardiovascular disorder, etc. CONSTITUTION:An antiserotonin agent obtained by blending a cyclohexane derivative expressed by the formula (R is alkyl; R<1> and R<2> are H or organic residue) as an active ingredient with a carrier, excipient, diluent, etc., and formulating the resultant blend by a conventional method. The dose thereof is 0.1-1.5mg as the compound expressed by the formula per day for an adult administered once - in several divided portions. The compound expressed by the formula is obtained by adding ethyl ether to a hot water extract of cinnamon which is a herb medicine, distributing and fractionating the extract by a well-known method.
