摘要 Disclosed are various embodiments for onboarding users of devices newly enrolled with a remote service. According to various embodiments described herein, a computing environment operated by an enterprise can be employed to disable a function of a client device owned or operated by a user. The computing environment is employed to determine a role of the user. Content to be presented on the client device can be determined based at least in part on the role of the user. In response to a determination that the content has been presented to, viewed, and/or consumed by the user of the client device, the computing environment may remotely enable the previously disabled function of the client device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium embodying a program executable in at least one computing device comprising at least one hardware processor, the program, when executed by the at least one computing device, being configured to cause the at least one computing device to: transmit a first command to a client device to disable at least one function of the client device; associate the client device with a user account in a data store based at least in part on an authentication of a user of the client device, the user account comprising at least one role associated with the user; search the data store to identify content to be presented by the client device based at least in part on the role of the user; and transmit a second command to remotely enable the disabled at least one function of the client device in response to a determination that the content has been viewed by the user of the client device, wherein the determination is based at least in part on a confirmation provided by the client device, wherein the determination that the content has been viewed by the user of the client device is made based at least in part on an amount of time the content has been rendered in a display of the client device, whether the user has scrolled to an end of the content, a detection of a face by a camera of the client device exceeding a predefined amount of time, or an acknowledgement made by the user in a user interface provided in association with the content.
