PURPOSE:To attain mass-production of a two-dimension array transducer with less acoustic coupling by arranging one end of plural conductors to a face of a packing member, leading out the other ends from other faces than said face so as to attain incorporation and bonding a piezoelectric plate to the arrangement face of the conductors and dicing the piezoelectric plate in matching with the arrangement of conductors to form the element group. CONSTITUTION:In incorporating plural signal leads 12 so as to be imbedded to a packing material 13, one ends 12a of the conductors are arranged to a face of the packing member at a prescribed interval and the other ends 12b are led out of a face other than said face to attain the incorporation. After the piezoelectric plate 16 whose sides are formed as a conductor is bonded to the arrangement face of the leads, the piezoelectric plate 16 is diced at a prescribed interval in matching with the arrangement of the leads 12 from the non-adhesion side to form the element group connected individually to the leads. Then a metallic foil is bonded and incorporated to the head of the element group to form a common electrode. Thus, the acoustic coupling between the pyramid elements is reduced. Moreover, it is not required to apply separate work for the individual electrods and the signal leads. Further, the connection between the common electrode and each element is attained by a simple operation.
