PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of general usability of a viscous coupling and an action freezing means, by electrically detecting a necessary condition of freezing action of the viscous coupling by a detecting means and actuating the action freezing means on the basis of this detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means 40, which detects a rotary speed difference of predetermined level or more, when it is generated, between the first output member 21 and the second output member 22 of a differential mechanism 3, and action freezing means 11, 12, which freeze the action of a viscous coupling 10 by receiving a signal from said detecting means 40, are provided. While the above described predetermined level is set to a value corresponding to the relatively high rotary speed difference such that the viscous coupling 10 immediately generates a hump phenomenon. By this constitution, the general usability of the viscous coupling and the action freezing means can be improved. |
