<p>Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, and active fragments thereof, to EPF can be used to identify tumour cells which produce EPF to provide an early monitor for cancer in mammals. The tumour cells can be destroyed in the mammal by administration of the antibodies, or fragments thereof, to EPF to the mammal. The antibodies are useful in detecting the presence of EPF in serum during pregnancy and provide a means for detecting and, if required, terminating pregnancy in mammals.</p> |
