The drill is for boring chimneys or walls in rock. A hole is first made upwards and a guide (4) is placed along one wall (2). Holes are then bored in the wall by a boring machine (40-60) on a support (10) moving along the guide. Another support (24) holds the boring machine and is driven by a cable. Fixtures (32) slide along the guide and the borer support can move independently of the operator. The borer support has a powered winch (70) which operates the cable. The borer is hydraulically powered, supplied from a hydraulic pump (63). |
