DESULPHURISING FLUX

The desulphurising flux for molten iron compries up to 15 wt.% fluorspar (CaF2), 1-20 wt.% tar or tar sludge, 0.1-1.0 wt.% silicon oil and the balance quicklime (CaO). Particularly quicklime powder is coated with tar or tar sludge in order to cut off the contact between quicklime powder and moisture of the air.
