The invention relates to an arrangement for drying the edges of woven fabric or knitted fabric webs which are guided through treatment by means of clamping means, such as clips, needle strips or the like, arranged on rotating chains and to which the gaseous or vaporous treatment agent is supplied by nozzles mounted on nozzle housings, and aims to produce additional edge drying with means present in the dryer, in other words with the same treatment agent as for the overall drying of the material web and above all without special expensive energy sources and control systems. According to the invention, it is proposed to this end in an arrangement of the type mentioned in the introduction to arrange, on the endless chain transporters, collecting and guiding sheets or boxes covering the chain transporters for a selective supply to the material web edges of the treatment agent which emerges in these regions from the nozzles of the nozzle bodies (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
