<p>An elelctrical connector including a shield (13, 14) with a one-piece base member (14) having a cable braid connecting portion comprising a panel (71) from respective opposite sides and the rear of which upstand flanges (69, 70) formed with cable-receiving apertures (73, 74) opening away from the panel (71). Each aperture (73, 74) has inturned cable gripping lips (75). A closure member (13) is provided for latching receipt on the base member (14) with a detent action. A terminal housing (15) received between the base and closure members (13, 14) and has hood (91) and platform portions (82) providing supports for contact portions (79, 67) of the shield at a mating face.</p> |
