摘要 PURPOSE:To form an optical information recording medium having a high recording sensitivity by forming an underlying layer of a copolymer and incorporating a styrene polymer contg. maleic anhydride into said copolymer in the case of forming the underlying layer on a glass substrate and forming the optical information recording medium on the underlying layer. CONSTITUTION:The underlying layer is formed on the glass substrate and the optical information recording medium is provided on this underlying layer. The underlying layer contains the styrene copolymer contg. the maleic anhydride. Namely, the copolymer essentially contains the maleic anhydride and arom. vinyl monomer and is, in some cases, copolymerized with the same and other vinyl monomers copolymerizable therewith. For example, styrene, alpha-methyl styrene, etc., are used as the arom. vinyl monomer. The other vinyl monomers copolymerizable therewith are exemplified by acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate, etc. A plasticizer, UV absorbent, antioxidant, etc., are added at need thereto.
