The method involves receiving a maximum section of a track that a railway vehicle i.e. train is authorized to traverse, and determining an authorized maximum speed curve from the maximum section of the track (1001). A current speed of the train is determined (1010) during the movement of the train on the maximum section of the track, and the current speed of the train is compared (1020) with the authorized maximum speed, where braking of the train is performed when the current speed exceeds the authorized maximum speed at the moment. An independent claim is also included for a railway vehicle. |
