The transmission according to the present invention comprises first means 20 for producing the algebraic sum of the pressures prevailing in the corresponding branches 3a, 3b of the hydraulic circuits C and to deliver a signal representing this sum, second means 32 for establishing, in response to the said signal, a pressure P1 which is proportional to the said sum, third means 33, 35 for memorising, before passing from the first to the second operational mode, the pressure P1 thus established, fourth means 36, 38 for transmitting a pressure P2, which is proportional to the memorised pressure P1, to the control members 11 of the clutch 10 whilst passing from the first to the second operational mode. It makes it possible to maintain a constant traction force during the passage from the first operational mode to the second operational mode. <IMAGE>
