<p>In order to repair relatively long tear-shaped damage to objects made of rubber or plastic also using circular or parallelepiped-shaped patches, a circular or parallelepiped-shaped patch with a main body (1) and connecting layer (2) attached to its underside is proposed, in which, starting from the edge (4), the connecting layer also extends over a portion (6) of the upper side of the main body.
