A heat-sealable lamination foil produced by applying a molten thermoplastic foil (6) to the surface of a carrier material (1), whereby the two are joined by pressing them together at the juncture of a press roller (2) and a cooling roller (3). The carrier material may be a thin gauze or mesh material. The plastic material is made to seep through the carrier material in such a way that a heat-activated surface forms on both sides of the carrier material.<IMAGE>
