<p>A method for preparing metal fiber articles is disclosed. The method comprises forming a metal coating on an organic fiber fabric by plating and firing the thus coated fabric in a reducing gas atmosphere. Also a method for preparing a cadmium electrode with a nickel substrate utilizing said method is disclosed.</p>
