Method and device for transferring video film onto cine (motion-picture) film

In the present method for transferring a video film which has been recorded using interlaced scanning (interlacing) with in each case two fields per frame onto conventional photographic cine film only every second field of the video film is transferred onto the cine film, this being, however, done at an effectively doubled line height. For example each second field of the video film can be reproduced on a monitor at a reduced picture height and the reproduced picture can be anamorphotically rectified and recorded with a conventional sequence of pictures on photographic cine film.
