The invention relates to a device for the determination of the thermal conductivity of metallic bodies, especially of large-volume hollow rolls. This device consists of thermocouple elements for the measurement of temperature differences, whose thermocouple limbs contact the specimen separately and under spring loading, a heater for the emission of a defined quantity of heat and an electronic evaluation unit. The invention is characterised in that temperature sensors are provided as carriers for the thermocouple elements, and are applied with uniform separations on a carrier band, a heating band being connected to the carrier band, contacting the specimen and having the same separation from the two tips of the thermocouple limbs. <IMAGE>
