Wire spring or leaf spring contact socket

The wire spring or leaf spring contact socket is used for reliable current transfer to and from a contact pin inserted into it. It has a spark protection edge associated with a contact pin insertion end, and a connecting end (3), facing away from this contact pin insertion end, for fixing to an electrical conductor. In order to be able to connect the contact socket in a simple and reliable manner, quickly, conveniently and nevertheless without any significant cost, and possibly automatically, to electrical conductors which are provided, the connecting end (3) is in each case formed as a stamped part which originates from one contact socket end, is formed by a combined stamping and bending process from contact sheet metal, and makes it possible to connect the conductors by means of a crimping process (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
