The known phenolic urethane stabilisers have a stabilising effect for only a short time or are relatively easily volatile and therefore of only restricted application. According to the invention, phenolic urethane derivatives are provided which are formed by reaction of higher molecular weight diisocyanate adducts with phenol alcohols, stabilise very effectively and correspond to the formula 1 <IMAGE> in which R is straight-chain or branched C1-C8-alkyl or cycloalkyl n is a number from 2 to 12 B is the carbon structure of a diisocyanate. The compounds are stabilisers for organic materials.
