Gear wheel

Known gear wheels, especially those used in synchronising mechanisms in rotary piston superchargers, have the disadvantage that they give rise to severe noise owing to the pulsating delivery of the charger, because of radial play. The new gear wheel is distinguished by the fact that at least one gear wheel is formed by two gear wheels connected to one another with a predetermined angular offset by an elastomer layer, thereby minimising the radial play. Gear wheels of this kind are used in machines in which gear mechanisms can be used, especially in rotary piston superchargers.
