<p>For the purpose of applying HTSC material to workpieces by thermal spraying, ceramic powder having superconductive properties is employed as the starting material, and after spraying the superconducting properties are regenerated by a controlled (systematic) heat treatment. According to the invention, the quality and, in particular, the bond strength of the HTSC layers on various substrates is improved by a high spraying wattage being employed during thermal spraying. In a high-speed flame-spraying process, the spraying wattage is chosen to be >/= 100 kW for a mixing ratio of oxygen to propane of from 5:1 to 7:1. If the process used for thermal spraying is a plasma spraying process, the spraying wattage is >/= 50 kW.</p> |
