A frame processing system capable of expanding and contracting a frame, comprising a display device having a screen for displaying the frame; frame expansion/contraction commanding means for commanding expansion or contraction of the frame; frame line designating means for designating a frame line to be moved on the screen for expansion or contraction of the frame; and expansion/contraction processing means for moving the frame line designated by the frame line designating means in a direction different from a longitudinal direction of the designated frame line without changing a length of the designated frame line when a command for expansion or contraction of the frame is supplied from the frame expansion/contraction commanding means to the expansion/contraction processing means, and expanding or contracting other frame lines connected to the designated frame line so as to expand or contract an area inside the frame and adjacent to the designated frame line.
