The invention relates to a safety device for shunt connectors of electrical distribution systems comprising a bottom and a cover and which are intended to be connected to a conduit. This device comprises a stop (6) which is movable between a branch-off position in which it is essentially set back within the bottom (3) and a position where it is proud of this bottom (3) by a length sufficient to prohibit the branch-off; a locking component (10) preventing the said stop (6) from passing to its branch-off position when the cover (4) is not in place; and means for setting back the said locking component (10) when the cover is put on.
