An improvement in a sealless connection (10) between two overlapped segments of strapping (12,14). The sealless connection (10) comprises a plurality of joints (16) arrayed longitudinally, each comprising a pair of shoulders (24,26), which interlock when the segments (12,14) are tensioned. The connection (10) further comprises notches (30) provided respectively in superposed edges on opposite sides of the respective segments (12,14) and operable as an "anti-reverse" locking means. The notches (30) are provided after the shoulders (24,26) are interlocked. The segments (12,14) are formed at the notches (30) to prevent the segments (12,14) from shifting longitudinally to unlock the interlocked shoulder (24,26). The notched edges of the respective segments (12,14) are uninterrupted, except for the notch (30), where the respective segments (12,14) are crimped.
