PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an option device for an electric apparatus capable of accurately detecting whether exhaust air from an electric apparatus is present or not, with an air flow sensor by sufficiently reducing the effect of an air flow, even during operation of an electric fan of the option device.SOLUTION: An option device that can be mounted on an air outlet 9 of an electric apparatus in which a fan 22 for exhaust air is housed comprises: a duct 15 for guiding exhaust air from the air outlet 9; an electric fan 24 for sucking exhaust air flowing in the duct 15 to discharge it in atmospheric air; and an air flow sensor 25 for detecting whether exhaust air from the electric apparatus is present or not. The air flow sensor 25 includes an air flow passage having: an exhaust air inlet 34 opening toward exhaust air; and an outlet 26b communicating with atmospheric air outside the duct 15.
