Disclosed are an automatic gain control method, an M2M terminal and a base station. The method is applied to a machine-to-machine (M2M) terminal. The method comprises: an M2M terminal receives downlink control information (DCI) sent by a base station occupying a system bandwidth of a long term evolution (LTE) system, and a downlink physical channel and a scheduling duration allocated to the M2M terminal by the base station, the DCI comprising a load indication field; and the M2M terminal adjusts, according to the received load indication field, automatic gain control before a scheduling time slot within the scheduling duration arrives, such that the M2M terminal adopts, when occupying the downlink physical channel to receive a downlink radio frequency signal at the scheduling time slot, gain control adaptive to a load intensity of the scheduling time slot. |
