<p>PURPOSE: To prolong the life of an anode region in the vicinity of the periphery of a nozzle outlet by providing a discontinuous portion on the surface of a place along a nozzle bore having a sufficient size on the upstream side of a nozzle outlet orifice. CONSTITUTION: A bore 57 spreading exists on the outlet end portion 52a of a nozzle anode 52, the spreading bore 57 forms a radial direction shoulder portion, and a peripheral shelf 58, constituting an effective path, an anode ring 59 is arranged apart by a certain distance from the outlet end portion 52a of the anode nozzle 52. Vortex-like gas flow 53 revolving in the periphery of a cathode electrode 32 passes in the cone-like decreasing region 35 of a nozzle path 54 formed by an anode bore 51, centers an arc column 55 along the bore 51, and passes a downstream point 56 exceeding a nozzle outlet. Thereby, the life of a peripheral anode region of the outlet of the outlet nozzle of a plasma torch can be prolonged.</p> |
