<p>PURPOSE:To attain the reproducing operation of satisfactory efficiency by deciding that there is no recording part in a following tape when a silent condition is continued over a prescribed time, returning to the starting edge of the magnetic tape and restarting the reproducing operation. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape T is transited with a PLAY mode from a starting edge BOT through a border 3 to an N-second at the prescribed moving time. Then, when the silent condition is continued over the N-second, it is decided that there is no recording part in the following tape. Accordingly, when the tape arrives at a position to correspond to the passing time of the N-second, a transiting direction is reversed and the tape is rewound to the magnetic tape starting edge BOT, with a REW mode. Continuously, the mode is transited to the PLAY mode, and the same operation is executed in a following process. Thus, unconvenience that the condition of no reproducing tone is continued for a long time is prevented without fail and the efficient reproducing operation is executed.</p> |
