The device described serves to steer preferably the rear wheels (1) of a motor vehicle. The steering movement is applied to the wheel (1) by means of an electric motor (12) which, for this purpose, drives an adjustment spindle (13) which, by means of a nut (14) supported fixed in terms of rotation, displaces in the transverse direction of the vehicle (double arrow 6) the longitudinal arm (3), connected permanently to the wheel carrier, of the wheel suspension at its front end. A simple, compact and protected constructional unit is thus obtained. <IMAGE>
