REMOVAL OF AMMONIA FROM WASTE WATER

A process for the continuous removal of ammonia from wastewater comprises: (a) providing a plurality of zeolite-filled chambers moving about a circular path in periodic fluid communication with a stationary adsorption stage feed port; (b) adsorbing ammonium ions onto the zeolite by supplying a soln. contg. ammonium ions to a first stationary feed port; (c) regenerating ammonia from the zeolite filled chambers by supplying an alkaline regeneration fluid to the stationary regeneration stage feed port; and (d) repeating (b) and (c).
