PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of rotatably supporting a rotor by suppressing the contact of the rotor and a stator even under a condition in which a dynamic pressure bearing is not established.SOLUTION: A pump is equipped with a first member having an outer surface disposed around a rotary shaft, and a second member disposed around the first member. The first member and the second member can be relatively rotated. The second member has a first inner surface which forms a bearing clearance between the outer surface and the first inner surface, a second inner surface which forms an inlet side channel of second dimensions larger than first dimensions of the bearing clearance between the outer surface and the second inner surface on an inlet side of the bearing clearance into which a lubrication liquid floes, and a third inner surface which forms an outlet side channel of third dimensions larger than the first dimensions between the outer surface and the third inner surface on the outlet side of the bearing clearance from which the lubrication liquid flows out. In the bearing clearance, in order to make the lubrication liquid flow in an axial direction parallel with the rotary shaft, the pressure of the inlet side channel is made higher than that of the outlet side channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
