The invention relates to a spray can having a housing which contains the liquid to be sprayed and having a nebulising device. Arranged inside the housing is a squeeze container which contains the liquid to be sprayed, and there is arranged in the housing, on a side located opposite the opening of the squeeze container, a pressure plate which is displaceable in the direction of the opening and can be retained in the different positions counter to the direction of displacement. Between the pressure plate and the housing there is a helical spring which serves as a pressure store and readjustment device for the pressure plate. A guide insert arranged between the helical spring and the squeeze container prevents radial deformation of the squeeze container and assists the build up of pressure.
