A connection piece (4) for a pump has in a first housing bore (22) a valve insert (8) with a pressure-limiting valve (26). Provided coaxially with the housing bore (22) is a housing bore (28) which leads to a line connection (16). Arranged in this housing bore (28) is a non-return valve (29), the closing member (30) of which is seated, in the closed position, sealingly on a valve seat (32) provided on that face of the valve insert (8) which faces the non-return valve (29). <IMAGE>
