An outsole with damping midsole, in particular for sports shoes, is to be designed in such a manner that it guarantees good damping properties with a great, rapidly effective restoring moment and with simultaneously good foot guidance. This is achieved by at least one damping part (1) with at least two layers of tube systems (2, 3, 4) running essentially along the longitudinal axis (5) of the sole being provided. In this case, one tube system (2 or 3 or 4) is offset in the manner of a honeycomb in relation to the adjacent tube system (3 or 2 or 4) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
