A magnet consists of melt-quenched ferromagnetic material FeB-R (where R is Nd and/or Pr) dispersed in and bonded by a binder resin consisting of an oligomer containing at least 1 alcoholic OH and an adduct of an isocyanate. The ferromagnetic material Fe-B-R has formula Nd1-x (Fel-y, By)x, where x is 0.5-0.9 and y is 0.050.10, and is in the form of 10-30 micrometer thick and several 10s to several 100s micrometer long particles.
