PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting edge rotation type cutting tool which is easily reducible in size without complicating a structure, can stably driven-rotate a cutting insert at cutting processing, can enhance a cooling effect of the cutting insert, and can stably supply a coolant to a cutting edge, and its tool main body.SOLUTION: A cutting edge rotation type cutting tool 1 comprises a cutting insert 3 which is formed into a disc plate shape, and has a circular cutting edge 5 extending around an insert axial line C, and a tool main body 2 having an insert attachment seat 4 to which the cutting insert 3 is rotatably attached around the insert axial line C.
