<p>A shelf construction (1) intended for the storage of packeted CD-disks or the like in side-by-side relationship and comprising a basic construction which includes a first shelf (2), a plurality of package-supporting elements (3, 4) of inverse-U shape and secured to the first shelf (2) by means of a screw or a nut arrangement fastener (5) accommodated in holes provided therefor in the first shelf. The package-support elements are spaced along said shelf at given distances apart contingent on the number of packages to be supported between adjacent support elements. According to the invention the shelf includes a rear, upwardly bent lip (2a) and a front, slightly upwardly bent and curved lip (2b). The front lip (2b) comprises two curved lip-parts, one of which forms an angle of 45° with the shelf surface (2c) and extends upwardly from said surface, while the second lip-part is perpendicular to the first lip-part and extends downwardly to a location in which the two lip-parts meet in a soft, horizontal rounded configuration. The distance between the rear lip and that lip-part of the front lip which lies adjacent the upper surface (2c) of the shelf is equal to the length of a package.</p> |
