When detached from the writing implement, the cap allows the external air to flow axially into the space inside the cap through: the axial front hole of the cap, the air hole 6 formed in the internal cap, a space 17 defined between the internal cap and the main body, and the air hole 5 formed in the peripheral wall of the main body at a point situated beneath the clip 12 of the writing implement. <IMAGE>
