The present invention relates to a method and a device for forward and backward rinsing and for cleaning and for raising, regulating and stabilising the pressures in piping systems with simultaneous water preparation. For this purpose, it is proposed to connect the beginning and end regions of the pipe system to pressure accumulators (diaphragm pressure vessels, air domes or the like) and to convey the water content of the pipe system back and forth via filters, water treatment apparatuses or the like. <IMAGE>
