<p>This invention concerns substituted tetrahydrobenzopyranopyrazoles of formula (I), wherein R1 through R5 are as defined herein, intermediates thereto, agricultural compositions containing the tetrahydrobenzopyranopyrazoles and a method for using them to control arthropods in agronomic and nonagronomic environments. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the tetrahydrobenzopyranopyrazoles by cyclization of phosphorus-containing starting reactants in the presence of a halogenating agent and base.</p> |
