Filter dusts arising from prodn. of pig iron, steel, or other foundry products are disposed of by injecting the dusts into a slag ladle contg. the final process slag, using blowing lances outside the prodn. shop. Dusts are injected in controllable amts. and the angle of the lance and depth of injection are adapted to the reaction of the slag. A thermally protective observation arrangement is provided next to the ladle. ADVANTAGE - Large scale and trouble-free disposal.
