A thread breakage is displayed and the multi-needle sewing machine is stopped by a sensor for the thread motion or tension. The same sensor is used for all e.g., six needle threads. Pref., a needle head (1) with six needles (2-7) for the threads (8-13) is preceded by a thread tensioning device (14-19). A common sensor (35) is made of piezoelectric ceramics and is joined by leads to a PCB in the recess (32). This PCB can operate both a breakage display and a stop of the machine. |
