Electrical heating is proposed for high temp. processing, esp. for explosive hazardous areas or for the treatment of heat sensitive, fire and explosive hazardous materials. The proposed equipment comprises the following: reactor (1) with agitator (29), heat transfer medium space (2) divided by walls (3) and (4). At least two heat barriers (5) are located at the top or at the bottom of the heat transfer medium space. A circulation zone (9) is arranged with divider channels. The heating element (32) is provided with a heat barrier (11). Indirect sealing (7) is arranged between the heat transfer space (1) and the electrical connection space (6). (1pp Dwg.No.1/1)
